The despair of automated subway users
Living in big cities is interesting.
Everybody seems to be so involved,
involved in something they don’t care about.
Running after their adopted daily routines.
Trapped in their thoughts while rushing to their work.
Humans controlled by their minds,
not able to see themselves anymore,
not able to be anything more then automated systems.
Safe but lost, powerful but empty, rich but poor.
Striving for the weekend in order to distract themselves,
distract themselves from their not so fulfilled life
instead of facing their pain,
of facing their very core,
instead of observing themselves attentively,
of taking the risk of change.
